LTSC goboLOS ANGELES, CA (April 23, 2009) – For Angelino couples, the stimulus bill will aid finances but for those waiting for relief from staying home, tickets are on sale for a value-loaded evening at “Mystery of Sake” on Thursday, April 23rd hosted by the Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC). Now, daring couples longing for a budget-friendly night out can indulge on fine Japanese sake and exquisite hors d’oeuvres.

This year at the California Science Center, the event will feature premium sake served by brewers from Japan paired with some of the best Asian cuisine LA’s top chefs have to offer. Less than a dinner for two ($60 each pre-sale) at any fine dining restaurant, it serves as a perfect date. And for one couple’s first date in 2007, that night became a lifetime commitment.

“The energy was great - the atmosphere made it perfect, one conversation lead to the next,” says Akemi, now married to June, both first time sake-goers. The sake-infused environment encourages interaction among a sold-out crowd of 800 of LA’s young professionals and foodies alike.

Admission includes choice sake and first-rate hors d’oeuvres and also benefits LTSC, affording guests a good time for a good local cause. “I feel so strongly about supporting LTSC,” continues Akemi, “I just thought it would be a really cool thing to do.” Mostly, the event is about a youthful crowd – couples and singles on dates, with friends - supporting a just cause 30 years strong in LA.

“We try to make our events fun as well as fund raising so we hope everyone who comes will have an enjoyable evening and feel good about supporting a worthy organization,” says Bill Watanabe, Executive Director of LTSC.
